Carle’s Law

Charle’s law states that at constant pressure, the volume of a fixed mass of gas is directly proportional to the Kelvin temperature of absolute temperature.

V∝ T (at const. P)

V: Volume, T: Temperature, P: pressure

V = k T     (k is constant)

\frac{V}{T} = const.

so we can conclude that the if we changed the temperature of gas its voulme is changed accordingly:

\frac{V_1}{T_1} = \frac{V_2}{T_2}

If the absolute temperature is doubled, the
volume is doubled.

T_2 = 2T_1

\frac{V_1}{T_1} = \frac{V_2}{2T_1}

V_1 = \frac{V_2}{2}

2V_1 = V_2
